The original promotion applied to eligible Powerwall 2 installations from 11 August to 31 December 2023, with claims due in January 2024. Tesla offered $750 and PSW matched that amount, making the advertised combined promotion $1,500. Those figures are retained only as the historical offer record.
Check the year before using an offer.
A search result can outlive a promotion. Check the order, registration, installation and final claim deadlines separately. A later installation deadline does not necessarily mean an offer is still open to new orders.
Tesla’s later Next Million offer had a different window and different claim requirements. Its dates and claims guide explains the distinction; it should not be added to a new quote automatically.
Compare the installed system.
Cost per usable kWh can help compare storage prices, but it is only one measure. Include the required inverter or controller, gateway, installation and site work. Compare backup scope, power output, warranty and support too. Different designs can have the same cost per kWh and suit a home differently.
Powerwall 3 includes a solar inverter, so a design that uses it directly does not need that inverter counted again. Suitable existing solar may be retained after assessment; the installation design decides the equipment, not the wording of an old promotion.
For a current buying decision.
Use the Powerwall 3 configurator for current conditional equipment guides and the WA battery rebate guide for government-scheme context. The written quote confirms each applicable deduction and its eligibility basis.
