Sungrow inverter WiFi reconnection assistant

Identify the Sungrow communication module before using iSolarCloud network settings. Check both the home connection and cloud status.

Let’s get your monitoring connection back. An offline app alone does not tell you whether the system has stopped generating.

Before you reconnect

Use your phone, app and home router for these checks. Do not open covers, unplug modules, operate breakers or electrical isolators, restart the system or factory-reset equipment.

For a fault message, dead display or tripped breaker, use PSW Life Support. For smoke, burning smells, sparking, unusual heat or visible damage, keep clear and follow the safety advice.

Identify the communication module

Use iSolarCloud and check the module model in your handover documents or on a safely visible external label. The inverter brand alone does not identify the Wi-Fi method.

  • WiNet-S, WiNet-S2 or Wi-Fi-P2: the current manufacturer reference below covers these modules, with separate network-connection choices.
  • Older WiFi dongles or other loggers: use the instructions for that exact module. The temporary network name, login and indicator meanings may differ.
  • Module name unknown: ask PSW to identify it. Do not unplug or remove it to inspect a hidden label.

Have these ready

  • Working home internet. Connect your phone to home Wi-Fi and open a webpage. If it will not load, resolve the home connection first.
  • Your Wi-Fi details. Have the current network name and password ready. Enter passwords only in the manufacturer app or confirmed device interface, never in a PSW form or support message.
  • Your usual account. Check you can sign in and see your system. Use account recovery if you cannot.
  • A safe place nearby. Check the phone has a useful Wi-Fi signal near the equipment. Keep router security and system operating settings unchanged.

Use the matching iSolarCloud network route

Open the manufacturer reference for your confirmed module before starting. Stay in the owner-accessible network setup; do not create a new plant, redo commissioning or change electrical parameters.

  1. Open iSolarCloud and the network-configuration route available for your device. App versions may label the entry Network configuration or provide a Local Access connection first. If installer access or commissioning parameters are requested, stop and contact PSW.
  2. For the WiNet-S / WiNet-S2 / Wi-Fi-P2 instructions, use the connection method that is already available and matches the illustrated module. In the direct-WLAN route, your phone joins the temporary module network identified by its serial number.
  3. Select the home WLAN in the matching app screen, enter its current password and confirm. Enter passwords only in iSolarCloud, never in a PSW form or support message.
  4. Wait for the setup result: Sungrow's reference checks connection to both the home network and the cloud.

If the temporary network cannot be found or the method asks for a module-button sequence you cannot confidently match, stop here. Do not try reset sequences, remove the dongle or disconnect equipment.

Separate network and cloud results

Reconnect your phone to its normal Internet connection and inspect your existing plant in iSolarCloud. Check the connection status and time of the newest data. Tell PSW whether the failure was finding the device, joining the home network or reaching the cloud; that helps avoid repeating the wrong part of the process.

If the home network is not listed, check the exact module's network requirements before changing the router. There is no single indicator colour or connection procedure that applies to every Sungrow communication device.

Still offline?

If the screen differs or setup fails, pause rather than repeat another model’s steps.

Send PSW Life Support the model, app, last-update time and the step you reached. A screenshot can help; hide private details and leave out passwords. Only photograph safely visible labels.
