CHOICE has ranked Tindo solar panels as the best-performing modules in Australia, being the only solar panels whose power output matches the manufacturer’s claims.
At the end of 2024, the consumer advocacy organisation tested 15 rooftop solar panels, updating its previous solar panel review. Tindo’s 410W Karra received the only ‘Excellent Measured Power Output’ rating, achieving an overall ‘CHOICE Expert Rating’ of 92%, far ahead of the second-place panel, which scored 80%.
The CHOICE power output test showed that the 410W Tindo panel delivered 417W, whereas the other solar panels in the review produced less than their claimed output. Tindo’s monocrystalline PERC solar panel outperformed other higher-priced panels and is the only Australian-made solar panel featured in the CHOICE product review. Both Tindo and an imported panel earned a ‘Recommended’ rating from CHOICE.
Tindo’s 2026 range offers efficiencies between 22% and 23%, depending on the model. Their Walara-475G4P-BL series uses n-type TOPCon cell technology for superior energy yield, even in low-light conditions.
