PSW Energy has renewed its registration as a New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) Approved Seller. The current certificate is valid through 13 May 2027 and was issued by the Code Monitoring and Compliance Panel.
The NETCC is an ACCC-authorised consumer protection code that sets conduct standards for businesses selling solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers, and related new energy technology. Developed with peak industry and consumer bodies, it governs the complete commercial relationship, from initial enquiry through to after-sales support.

What the NETCC covers
The code sets minimum conduct requirements across three areas.
- Accurate and verifiable information. Claims made in the sales process, system outputs, savings estimates, and rebate eligibility must be grounded in fact and capable of being substantiated.
- Contract and disclosure obligations. Buyers are entitled to compliant contracts, material cost disclosure, and access to cooling-off rights where applicable under Australian Consumer Law.
- After-sales accountability. Signatories are held to defined standards for handling warranty claims, service requests, and disputes. The code runs a formal complaints and dispute resolution mechanism.
The distinction worth noting: the NETCC is a conduct standard, not a technical installation standard. It governs what the business does, not what the hardware is rated to perform. Technical compliance with AS/NZS 4777.1, AS/NZS 5139, and Western Power connection requirements is separately mandated. The NETCC sits on top of those requirements as a commercial conduct layer.
How this fits PSW's credential stack
PSW Energy maintains several independently verified certifications:
- ISO 9001:2015: Quality management systems
- ISO 45001:2018: Occupational health and safety management
- ISO 14001:2015: Environmental management
- Tesla Premium Certified Installer: five consecutive years
- Sigenergy Gold Installer
- NETCC Approved Seller: current to 13 May 2027
- Electrical Contractor Western Australia: EC10771
The ISO certifications cover operational systems and process quality. The NETCC covers commercial conduct. They address different domains and verify different things. Neither substitutes for the other.
For clients assessing installer credentials before committing to a project, this distinction matters. A business can hold product-level authorisations (brand certifications, manufacturer partnerships) without having made any commitment to conduct standards under an independent, ACCC-authorised code. The NETCC is the commercial layer that covers how the business actually behaves during the sale and after it.
Verifying current certification
NETCC Approved Seller status is publicly verifiable. The code administrator maintains a register of current signatories, and the Approved Seller mark may only be displayed by businesses with active, in-good-standing certification.
